Bob Dennison’s The Construction of Dreams is a richly textured and uplifting work, full of movement, symbolism and emotional warmth. At first glance, the painting has the visual energy of a flower opening, a bird in flight, or a flame rising — but its power lies in the way it refuses to settle into just one interpretation. It feels dreamlike because it is built from fragments: petals, leaves, wings, moons, shadows, roots and light all seeming to emerge from the same inner landscape.
