Orbiting Harmony by Bob Dennison is a joyful and beautifully balanced abstract painting, full of movement, rhythm and quiet optimism. At first glance, the work feels like a mosaic of nature and energy — a carefully arranged field of greens, blues, yellows and deep shadows, all working together to create a sense of life in motion.
The title feels especially fitting. The circular forms seem to act like planets, moons or centres of gravity, drawing the eye into their orbit while the surrounding geometric shapes pulse around them. There is a strong feeling of connection here — individual pieces, colours and textures all finding their place within a greater whole. Nothing feels accidental; yet the painting still retains a wonderful sense of freedom and play.
Dennison’s use of texture gives the piece real depth. The thick, expressive surface catches the light and adds a tactile quality, making the painting feel alive rather than flat. The greens suggest growth, renewal and the natural world, while the blues bring calmness, openness and reflection. The darker shapes provide contrast and grounding, giving the brighter colours even more strength.
What makes Orbiting Harmony so appealing is its positive emotional energy. It feels like a painting about balance — between movement and stillness, structure and spontaneity, individuality and unity. It invites the viewer to slow down, look closely, and discover how every shape contributes to the wider composition.
This is a vibrant, uplifting and thoughtful work by Bob Dennison, one that celebrates harmony not as something static, but as something constantly moving, shifting and beautifully alive.
